Improving follow-up and outcomes for incidental pulmonary embolism

Incidental pulmonary embolism (iPE) is a frequent finding on routine computed tomography (CT) scans of the chest, occurring in 1.1% of coronary CT scans and in 3.6% of oncological CT scans*1 , but only 25%*2 of incidental emboli are reported at the initial interpretation.

The iPE (CINA® iPE) application*3,4 helps healthcare professionals to detect incidental pulmonary embolism in patients that are scanned for other suspected healthcare conditions (especially coronary CT scans and oncological CT scans).
