Dr. Kanae Mukai, MD, FACC, ABIHM, FSCMR, is the Medical Director of Non-Invasive Cardiovascular Imaging at Ryan Ranch Center for Advanced Diagnostic Imaging and Salinas Valley Memorial Healthcare System and a practicing cardiologist who leads imaging initiatives for structural heart interventions. She obtained her BS in chemical engineering from MIT and previously worked in the semiconductor industry in various applications engineering and product management roles at a capital equipment company supplying process control and yield management systems. She obtained her MD at Chicago Medical School and completed her internal medicine residency at Mayo Clinic, fellowships in general and integrative cardiology at Scripps Clinic, and advanced imaging subspecialty fellowships at Duke Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance Center and UCSF. She holds Level 3 certification and is a boarded Diplomate in MRI, CT, nuclear imaging, and echocardiography. Dr. Mukai is a member of the Board of Directors for the Society of Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance (SCMR) and Society of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography (SCCT). She is the Program Chair for the 2027 Scientific Sessions, Immediate Past Chair of the Public Relations Committee, and was the Abstract Chair for the 2026 Scientific Sessions. Her research interests include parametric mapping, MRI with cardiac devices, 4D flow, and non-contrast vascular imaging.

Lisa Salberg is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of the Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy Association (HCMA), one of the world's leading patient advocacy organizations dedicated to hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM). Since establishing HCMA in 1996, she has led efforts to improve patient education, awareness, clinical care, and research collaboration for individuals and families affected by HCM. Diagnosed with HCM at age 12 and personally impacted by multiple HCM-related family tragedies, including stroke, sudden cardiac arrest, and heart failure, she transformed her personal experience into a lifelong commitment to patient advocacy. Salberg received an implantable cardioverter-defibrillator (ICD) in 1997 and underwent a successful heart transplant in 2017, experiences that further strengthened her dedication to advancing HCM care worldwide. She is a frequent invited speaker at international cardiology and heart failure conferences and has collaborated with leading medical societies, academic institutions, industry partners, and patient organizations. In addition to authoring numerous publications on HCM and patient-centered care, she has contributed to scientific statements, educational initiatives, and healthcare policy discussions aimed at improving outcomes for patients living with inherited heart disease.

Dr. Carlos Eduardo Rochitte, MD, PhD, FSCMR, is an Associate Professor in the Department of Cardiopneumology at the University of São Paulo Medical School and Director of the Cardiovascular MR and CT Sector at both the Heart Institute (InCor) and HCor Heart Hospital in São Paulo, Brazil. He also serves as Coordinator of the CMR and CCT Fellowship Program at InCor.
Dr. Rochitte completed a postdoctoral fellowship in cardiovascular MRI at Johns Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore, Maryland, from 1995 to 1999. He pioneered the use of late gadolinium enhancement (LGE) in several non-ischemic cardiomyopathies, including Chagas disease, Duchenne and Becker muscular dystrophy, aortic valve disease, and endomyocardial fibrosis.
He is the immediate past President of the Cardiovascular Imaging Department of the Brazilian Society of Cardiology and past Editor-in-Chief of Arquivos Brasileiros de Cardiologia (ABC Cardiol).
