Conclusion of Share Transfer Agreement for Minaris Medical

Canon Medical Systems Corporation would like to announce that, as of today, it has entered into a share transfer agreement with Resonac Corporation. Under this agreement, Canon Medical will purchase shares from Resonac for the purpose of acquiring Resonac subsidiaries Minaris Medical Co., Ltd. and Minaris Medical America, Inc., hereinafter referred to collectively as "Minaris Medical". Through this acquisition, Canon Medical aims to further strengthen and expand its in-vitro diagnostics business.

Canon Medical Systems Corporation, a group company of Canon Inc., has developed the first domestically produced photon-counting CT system incorporating Redlen's advanced technologies. This system has been installed at the National Cancer Center Exploratory Oncology Research ＆ Clinical Trial Center in Japan, where it is currently used to conduct research exploring the clinical applications of PCCT.

Canon Medical Systems Corporation received a Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry Award and Invention Achievement Award at the 2022 National Commendation for Invention hosted by Japan Institute of Invention and Innovation. Commencement of Research Collaboration into Japan's first Photon Counting Computed Tomography with National Cancer Center Japan

Canon Medical Systems Corporation has begun a collaborative research project with the National Cancer Center Japan Exploratory Oncology Research & Clinical Trial Center (NCC-EPOC) and EAST Hospital to investigate the clinical usefulness of photon counting computed tomography (PCCT), a next-generation diagnostic imaging system. This collaborative research is based on a framework agreement formalized in July 2020 and a basic joint research agreement in November with the National Cancer Center Japan.
