We’ve created an illustrated best practice guideline to help you keep your Canon Medical system safe and clean for all your patients. The information provided is an expanded version of what’s in your system’s user manual and is not intended to replace your national health or organizational guidelines. For comprehensive instructions, please refer to the official Canon Medical Systems Operation Manuals and Instructions for Use.

Workflow Guide for Infection Prevention and Control

To help you stay on top of your department’s infection control procedures, we’ve put together a useful guide that outlines a range of best practice measures, including:

 • Standard infection control precautions
 • System disinfection
 • The use of ‘hot’ and ‘clean’ zones in your department

Decontamination and the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE) are also important components of infection prevention and control, but we have not included them in this guide. Please refer to your institution’s policy and procedure for more information.
