Session 4

Role of Liver Ultrasound in the assessment of MASLD (Metabolic Associated Steatotic Liver Disease)

Recently, the global prevalence of fatty liver diseases, particularly nonalcoholic fatty liver disease and nonalcoholic steatohepatitis, has substantially increased, with limited treatment options except for lifestyle changes.
Ultrasound noninvasive imaging biomarkers, including Shear Wave Elastography, Shear Wave Dispersion and Attenuation Imaging are useful for early screening, diagnosis and monitoring the response to lifestyle change.

Canon Ultrasound provides a comprehensively set of Liver technologies designed to support clinicians in dealing with MASLD (Metabolic Associated Steatotic Liver Disease), the leading cause of Liver disease globally.

Canon Liver package includes a simple, non-invasive, accurate assessment of the liver that can be integrated into an abdominal ultrasound in less than a minute. Providing robust, reproducible data that can be correlated to Liver Function tests and other clinical markers to provide integrated patient diagnostics for liver disease.
