Xario 200 Platinum Delivers the Clinical Utility of High-End Ultrasound Systems to a Wide Range of Exams with SMI

The Xario 200 Platinum delivers the clinical benefits of high-end ultrasound technology to a wide range of exams with user-friendly features, a small footprint and the visualization benefits of Toshiba Medical’s Superb Micro-vascular Imaging (SMI).

CHICAGO, Nov. 29, 2016 - Combining the clinical benefits of high-end ultrasound technology with user-friendly features in a small footprint, Toshiba Medical is introducing the Xario™ 200 Platinum Series. The compact premium ultrasound system enhances workflow and patient care with intuitive user ergonomics and high-quality imaging for fast and confident diagnosis in a variety of radiology, obstetric and cardiovascular exams.

The Xario 200 Platinum Series builds upon the successful Xario 200 platform and features Toshiba Medical’s advanced ultrasound technologies for industry-leading depth and detail. This includes technologies like Precision Imaging, Differential Tissue Harmonics (D-THI) and Advanced Dynamic Flow™ (ADF). The new system comes with the added visualization benefits of Toshiba Medical’s Superb Micro-vascular Imaging (SMI), which provides superior visualization of low velocity microvascular flow never before seen with ultrasound. By enabling physicians to see the most clinical information possible, the Xario 200 Platinum Series allows for early, confident diagnoses that can help improve clinical outcomes. The system also offers enhanced performance and workflow features, including a customizable panel and touch command screen, and one-button optimization and clinical parameter setting with Toshiba Medical’s Quick Scan and Quick Start technologies.

“Toshiba Medical’s Xario 200 Platinum Series helps healthcare providers meet the demands of the changing healthcare environment by providing a cost-effective solution for advanced ultrasound imaging,” said Satrajit Misra, vice president, Marketing and Strategic Development, Toshiba America Medical Systems, Inc. “With the addition of SMI, the new system prioritizes excellent patient care by making innovative imaging technologies available to a wider range of customers.”

Toshiba Medical is showcasing live scanning on the new Xario 200 Platinum Series at this year’s Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) annual meeting in Chicago, November 27 – December 2, 2016 (Booth #7334, North Hall B).
