Informal appointment of new President and CEO of Toshiba Medical Systems Corporation

At a board meeting held on May 7, 2014, Toshiba Medical Systems Corporation (headquarters: Otawara, Tochigi Prefecture, Japan; President: Satoshi Tsunakawa) took the decision to appoint a new President and CEO, effective June 27, 2014. This appointment is subject to the approval at the annual meeting of stockholders as well as the board meeting to be held on June 27, 2014.
