Lightweight Wireless Panel Makes Exams More Efficient
CHICAGO, Dec. 3, 2013 - To offer healthcare providers affordable X-ray technology that performs efficient exams, Toshiba America Medical Systems, Inc. is introducing a new single-panel RADREX™-i wireless digital radiographic (DR) X-ray system (works-in-progress).
The RADREX-i Wireless single-panel is a new version of Toshiba's digital, versatile and patient-friendly X-ray system. The wireless panel, one of the lightest on the market, is easy to handle and improves image quality, as it can be positioned more closely to the anatomy. It is ideal for out-of-bucky work, including tabletop imaging of extremities, such as hands, wrists, forearms and feet, and wheelchair- and gurney-patient imaging.
The system also features RexProtect dose savings technology, RexSpeed technology to automate workflow, and RexView™ with image preview to enhance patient care by allowing technologists to make point-of-care decisions.
"The new single-panel RADREX-i Wireless is an example of Toshiba putting customers first and providing flexible system designs to meet the needs of healthcare providers and their patients," said David Sloop, director, X-ray Vascular Business Unit, Toshiba. "The single panel wireless solution lowers cost of ownership and increases workflow, responding to the two main directives of healthcare reform."
Toshiba is introducing the new single-panel RADREX-i wireless at this year's Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) annual meeting in Chicago, Dec. 1-6, 2013 (Booth # 7330 North Hall, B).
