Announcement of Capital Alliance with LPixel Inc.

Ohtawara, Nov. 15, 2018 － Canon Medical Systems Corporation (Headquarters: Ohtawara, Tochigi Prefecture, Japan; President: Toshio Takiguchi) has agreed to subscribe to a third-party allotment from LPixel Inc. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, Japan; CEO: Yuki Shimahara), a venture company that has been spun out from the University of Tokyo, and has completed this investment based on a stock subscription contract.

Our goal is to offer solutions that support medical professionals by integrating, analyzing, and processing the vast amounts of data stored at medical institutions. Through this alliance, we will accelerate the development of technologies to provide more efficient and higher quality medical services by employing LPixel's advanced AI technology.
