Delivering intelligent, quiet and comfortable technology for daily examinations to meet newly evolving clinical requirements
Otawara, Tochigi, Apr. 3, 2017 - Toshiba Medical Systems Corporation (President: Toshio Takiguchi; Headquarters: Otawara, Tochigi, Japan) has launched two latest 1.5-tesla MRI systems – Vantage Titan™ Zen Edition and Vantage Elan™ Zen Edition. The Zen Edition prioritizes intelligent workflows, patient comfort, and provides a complete clinical offering to make diagnosis and scanning a great experience every step of the way.
The Zen Edition is designed to maximize patient comfort without compromising image quality. Toshiba Medical’s unique Pianissimo™ acoustic shielding technology significantly reduces the noise in and around the MRI environment for every sequence, every scan and every patient. Pianissimo Zen quiet sequences further reduce sound during acquisition by up to 99 percent*, making exams even more comfortable and easier to complete.
EasyTech significantly improves workflow with a suit of examination assisted tools for neuro, spine, and even cardiac to guide the operator through the process from beginning to end. This includes SUREVOI™ Cardiac anatomy recognition technology which assists the preparatory procedure for the exam by automatically determining the position of the heart and liver, allowing full workflow automation from table positioning to the Real-time Motion Correction (RMC) probe placement. CardioLine+ works with SUREVOI for accurate and reproducible positioning to complete alignment of 14 standard cardiac views with a single breath hold and minimal operator interaction. This reduces exam time and alleviates excessive breath hold times and stress on the patient.
The Zen Edition offers comprehensive applications for various examinations to help medical professionals improve their workflow and patient comfort.
Ultrashort TE (UTE) sequence enables the depiction of tissues with very short T2* values enabling visualization of regions which were difficult to depict with conventional MRI systems. It expands the capability of MRI examinations to new regions such as MSK and lung. Moreover, by utilizing Toshiba Medical’s updated FFE2D mEcho sequence, T2* maps can be used in the quantification and analysis of myocardial iron overload. PSIR eliminates the need for preparation scans and cardiac examinations can be completed with fewer breath holds and greater patient comfort.
The Zen Edition for Vantage Titan and Vantage Elan is not yet commercially available in the United States and Japan.
