Watch our latest online webinars, where leading experts from around the world come to share discoveries and insights from research and clinical practice in prostate care.
Elevating Prostate Care with Ultrasound and Biopsy Solutions
Targeted MRI/US guided biopsies are the recommended methods for prostate detection. During the webinar, all the techniques of MR/US fusion-guided biopsy will be presented, as well as additional technologies for multi-parametric ultrasound imaging of the prostate, and an outlook on potential applications for ultrasound-guided focal treatment will be discussed.
The superior sensitivity of MRI also complements the ultrasound-guided biopsy in an innovative fusion technique to target a suspicious lesion and shortening your procedure time.
During the webinar, our speakers will share all the newest developments in the exciting field of prostate cancer together with the benefits of our technology in this field.
Deep Learning Reconstruction can improve image quality of MRI prostate scans
Study Overview:
Participants: 60 male patients with biopsy- proven prostate cancer.
Imaging Technique: Diffusion- weighted MRI (DWI) at b- values of 0, 1000, 3000, and 5000 sec/mm², reconstructed with and without deep learning reconstruction (DLR).
Key Findings:
DWI with DLR showed significantly higher SNRs and CNRs than DWI without DLR
Significantly higher mean image quality scores with DLR as compared to without.
Apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC) values remained consistent regardless of DLR application, indicating no impact on quantitative measurements
Conclusion:
“Deep learning reconstruction can improve the image quality of diffusion- weighted MRI scans of the prostate without affecting quantification of apparent diffusion coefficients, and has the potential to improve lesion characterization in patients with suspected prostate cancer.”

Guided targeted biopsy with our MR/US smart fusion solutions
Safety and efficacy of MR/US smart fusion for transperineal prostate biopsies
Study overview:
203 male patients with PI- RADS >2
Transperineal prostate biopsy under local anaesthesia in an outpatient setting
Canon Medical Aplio i800 with MR/US smart fusion software
Results:
Cancer detection rate: Overall: 73.5% | Clinically significant: 60.1%
Procedure duration: 22.5 min (≤15 min without systematic biopsy)
Patient tolerance: Discomfort biopsy core sampling rated 1.6/10 (similar to lying on exam table: 1.5/10)
Conclusion:
Transperineal targeted biopsy with MRI- TRUS fusion software has high overall and clinically significant cancer detection rates. The method is well tolerated under local anaesthesia and in an outpatient setting.
