Since 1988, Erich Sorantin, MD, has worked in the Radiology department at Medical University Graz, where he became a faculty member in 1994 and earned his professorship in 2002. Currently, Dr. Sorantin is the Head of the Division of Pediatric Radiology. Moreover, he coordinates a multi-institutional, multidisciplinary academic network in central Europe which focuses on biomedical imaging and technology transfer of advanced pediatric care, as well as radiation protection. Dr. Sorantin has been decorated with several awards for his work, including a PhD honoris causa in Informatics from the Faculty of Science, University of Szeged, Hungary in 2018.

As a medical physicist, Joseph Meier PhD’s primary experience lies in CT protocol optimization, PET Protocol optimization, and PET motion correction. His particular interest lies in dose minimization for CT imaging techniques. He was drawn to medical physics because of the direct impact that applying physics to medicine can have on a day-to-day basis in patient care and advancing patient care through research.

Eric Diaz, MD, is a pediatric radiologist with subspecialty training in pediatric cardiac imaging. Over the course of his training and during his time as a practicing clinical radiologist, he has interpreted tens of thousands of pediatric imaging exams. He has also overseen several thousand pediatric cardiac (CT and MRI) exams in patients of varying ages covering a broad spectrum of congenital heart disease. Dr. Diaz has been invited multiple times to lecture at national conferences with topics focused on advanced radiological imaging of the heart. During his time as a clinician, he has also served as a professor, clinical consult, and supervisor providing education to residents, clinical staff, and technologists on congenital heart imaging and various other pediatric imaging exams.
