Session 4: Proof of Success in the Diagnostic Imaging Business

Clinical Utility of Superb Micro-vascular Imaging (SMI) Angio mode in ultrasound practice

Ultrasound is expanding its clinical use with its ability to see small structures with more clarity and thus assisting our clinicians in making diagnoses.
The ability of enhanced visualization of blood flow in small vessels (Low velocity flow) usually not well seen with current color doppler mode, is opening new opportunities for better depiction of pathological findings in ultrasound practice.

SMI Angio mode application in ultrasound is a novel noninvasive assessment of hemodynamic patterns in microvascular structures by providing finer separation of individual small vessels without the use of contrast.

Canon SMI Angio mode is an evolution of its decade long SMI application which further brings immense clinical value to enhance and boost clinical confidence in diagnosis. This non contrast, easy to implement application is useful across broad clinical areas from Liver, Kidney to small parts imaging and in Musculoskeletal ultrasound, and we continue to explore its usefulness in interventional radiology and oncology.

Canon ultrasound provides more clinician-friendly and easy to use applications that help reduce imaging fatigue while aiming to reduce reliance on other imaging modalities.

Please join us to learn about our novel application SMI Angio mode and its opportunities in clinical practice.
