Sustainable Solutions for Vantage Elan / Active Edition

This extremely eco-friendly system reduces construction and installation requirements, while also being one of the most energy-efficient systems in its class.

Economical design to meet your needs

  • Reduction in power consumption with ECO Mode
  • Canon’s unique Pianissimo Σ (sigma) reduces noise in and around the MRI environment for every sequence, improving the patient experience.
  • One of the smallest MR systems with a compact footprint of 23 m2
  • Advanced intelligent Clear-IQ Engine (AiCE) intelligently removes noise from images which results in higher SNR and reduces scan time by combining fast scan techniques
  • You can start using the system in as little as 5days after delivery
  • Contrast reduction for environment benefit Non-contrast imaging

Auto Scan Assist standardizes your workflow

  • Reduction of burden on the operator
  • Reduction of operation time
  • Reduction of operation steps

Our Sustainable Solutions

Energy saving solution

Reduction in power consumption with ECO Mode

ECO Mode reduces power consumption to minimize system operating costs. Among other methods, the ECO Mode can be automatically activated simply by lowering the couch to the floor.

Image The system can recover from ECO Mode and be ready for scanning within a few seconds. Quick enough to cope with even emergency patients and unscheduled.

Resource saving solution

In addition to the reduced system size, the installation method, cooling method, and control cabinet have been innovatively redesigned.
Vantage Elan / Active Edition does not require a separate computer room. The overall installation area is approximately 29% smaller than previous 1.5T systems.*

Weight
7230 kg (varies depending on configuration)

Rapid installation time– in as little as 5 days**

With a new installation, you can start using the system in as little as 5days after delivery. Downtime in installation work can be minimized.

** This installation schedule is a standard schedule for the system and may vary depending on site situation and progress status of the installation.

Contrast reduction for environment benefit

Contrast agents are excreted from the body via the urine, they also enter the aquatic environment through our sewage systems. Reducing resource consumption is crucial to support the transition towards more environmentally sustainable healthcare.

Non-contrast imaging

Vascular and blood flow assessment in all areas is performed without the use of contrast media.

Life cycle assessment

Climate change initiatives throughout the product life cycle

Life cycle assessment (LCA)

Canon is committed to sustainable development and climate change throughout the product life cycle.
We continuously evaluate our environmental impact in four phases of our products, procurement of materials and components, manufacturing and transportation, use, and recycling and disposal, using energy consumption as a unified indicator.
Through quantitative evaluation, we aim to consider more reliable measures and reduce environmental impact based on product characteristics.
As a measure during use, which consumes the most energy, we provide interactive remote assistance programs as well as technologies implemented in the equipment, such as eco-mode. And we recover as many resources as possible and promote repair, reuse, and recycling.

Reducing packing

Reducing packing materials and promoting modal shift

We are focused on reducing the amount of packing materials used for transporting products by simplifying the packing process and decreasing the number of units for each system.

We have been consistently improving our packaging efficiency while ensuring the safe delivery of products to our customers after shipment and local transportation. Introducing a new concept for equipment transportation, we have started using dedicated shipping containers, eco-friendly packaging material (biodegradable fibers, etc.) and only FSC certified wood.

For product transportation, we are striving to reduce CO₂ emissions through modal shift from truck and air transportation to rail and ship transportation.
