Cor T2w for hippocampus
Example of a high-resolution image of the hippocampus using Precise IQ Engine (PIQE). The original image is 256 matrix with low resolution and high signal-to-noise ratio (SNR).
Even though the scan time is reasonably short and the slice thickness is as thin as 2 mm, the image is clear and demonstrates good contrast.
Axi T2w for orbit
Orbit image. Did not require a dedicated coil such as a circle coil to image the orbit. The image can be acquired in only 30 seconds using a normal head/neck coil with a small field of view (FOV) and low resolution. The structures around the lens are clearly visible.
Axi T2w for Brain
As this case is acquired with a 3T system, increasing the matrix over 512 × 512 will result in poor SNR and reduced contrast.
PIQE was applied after reducing the matrix to improve SNR and further shortening the scanning time. As a result, scan time was reduced by 53% while still achieving high resolution.
